It was the biggest of all learning assemblage. It was the Uncut learning, a fun fantastic bakers seminar. It was live at the event hall of the Civic Centre in Vi Lagos.
This event brought together almost all the bakers in the Nigerian baking industry. I use the word “almost” because the few who didn’t make it wished they did. There were lots of superb demo classes by master bakers of Nigerian origin both from here and from the diaspora. It was indeed a big resource from bakers to connect and learn. It was really uncut, unadulterated….
In her opening speech, the cake celebrity host and convener of the event, creative director/ CEO of Dewdrops Cakes, Mrs Ezinne Okonkwo welcomed all the attendees in an awesome way. She attributed the success of the occasion to God.
According to her, the seminar was birthed out of the spirit of pure empowerment, uplifting, creating, teaching on how to fish…to generate income and improve the present condition of individuals. It was also birthed out of the pure spirit of improving the quality of our products which is CAKES, changing the mindset of bakers to be quality oriented, uplifting and improving the cake industry in our dear country Nigeria, improving bakers’ network and collaborations rather than unhealthy competition.
She reminded all that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a step, noting that this feat is a continuous course.
More importantly, she mentioned her wish that the life of someone in that event be transformed forever through the event and most especially through the Dewdrops Uncut Learning Business Setup. This wish came to life as one of the applicants of the business setup won a life changing set of baking equipment enough to set up a professional bakery. That was awesome wasn’t it?
We also had wonderful master classes from top Pro bakers that made that occasion an impact day.
